New Info on who supported OHV

Checkout the new file in Documents by Don Hood AZOHVC How, What, When. This is a great introduction to the organization.

Prop 106 And Prop 103

State Trust Lands: Both were about State Trust lands and turning them into Wilderness or protected areas. Prop 103 will not be on the Ballot due to lack of valid signitures. Prop 106 from what I can find has never been turned into the Sec.of State to be put on the ballot. Both of these items are good news for OHV.

Forest Service Warning: Marijuana Cultivation Alert

Please post the following Alert on your web pages and make your members aware that they should be very cautious in the woods AT ALL TIMES. This flyer is located in the Documents section. Please feel free to distribute it to your clubs.

The AZOHVC is a nonprofit organization and has to abide by certain rules the Government sets for us to keep this important nonprofit status.  We can't tell you who we would like you to vote for, but I would like to provide some important information to you as members of this coalition as to where legislators were this past session on the legislation that gives us a real fighting chance to preserve the ability of the riding community to enjoy our chosen form of recreation and the beauty of our state.

Though not shown below, I would like to remind everyone how much the late Senator "Jake" Flake did in supporting OHV legislation the past 3 years and for OHV recreation in general...........he will be missed.

The Full article is in the Documents section.

State Trust Lans in the news 7/30/08 - Wednesday, July 30, 2008

The Arizona Republic had an article in the paper today about shutting down State Trust Lands to OHV.

http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2008/07/30/20080730OffHighwayRules.html

If you are not happy with this proposal from the State Trust I suggest you spread the word and contact the State Trust Lands Department, the Legislature, the Governor and the AZ Game & Fish. The more input they all recieve on this plan the quicker we may have some changes made. Below are all the links. BTW STL does not use e-mail you will need to send a letter or a phone call.

I don't have email addy's for the STL officers, but here is their contact information straight off their website. Might do some good for them to hear from the citizens that employ them.

Here is the site that will help you determine what legislative districts you live in.
